Here is a rough guide to what you need to be aware of before launching your drone, most of it is common sense.
The Drone Code
- Make sure you can see your drone at all times and don’t fly higher than 400 feet.
- Always keep your drone away from airports and airfields.
- Use your common sense when flying, be sensible or you may end up being prosecuted if you don’t.
If your drone is fitted with a camera then you need to keep 50 meters away from people, vehicles, buildings/structures.
You must not fly over congested areas/large gatherings such as at a concert or sports event.
